The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the SSC CGL notification to recruit for 17727 vacancies, you can read and download the full notification on the SSC website ssc.gov.in. Interested candidates and fill the application form June 2024 to July 2024. Remember last date to apply for SSC CGL 2024 is 24th July 2024. SSC CGL 2024 important dates
Exam Date
As per the SSC CGL 2024 notification released on 24 June 2024, Tier I exam will be conducted in the month of sept-oct and Tier 2 exam will be conducted in December 2024.
Application date
Aspirants interested in appearing for the SSC CGL 2024 exam must fill out the online application form.
The application form for SSC CGL 2024 will be open from 24 June 2024 to 24 July 2024 (23:00).
Last date for payment
However, the last date to pay the application fees is 25 July 2024 (23:00).
Application form correction widow
Learning from the experience of application form rejections, SSC will open an application form correction window from 10 August 2024 to 11 August 2024 (23:00) Aspirants can use this window to correct any detail in the application form.
SSC CGL 2024 vacancy
As per the notification SSC has announced 17727 vacancies across departments. It is to be noted that these vacancies are tentative, post wise and category-wise wise and state wise vacancies will be updated in due course. To stay updated with the vacancies, check the tentative vacancy page on the ssc.gov.in website.
Reservation in SSC CGL 2024
Reservation for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), Ex-Servicemen (ESM) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) candidates for all the categories of posts/services, wherever applicable and admissible, would be as determined and communicated by the Indenting Ministries/ Departments/ Offices/ Cadres, as per extant Government Orders.
Detail of post and Salary
The salary for group B varies from (₹35400 to ₹142400) depending on the pay level. For Group C posts the salary ranges from ₹25500 to ₹92300) depending on the post and pay level.
The eligibility criterion for SSC CGL 2024
A candidate can apply for the application form if he/ she meets the required education, age and limit criteria set by the SSC.
Age Limit
The age limit varies for each category and post. However, the standard SSC CGL age limit is 18 to 32 years. There are certain age relaxations applicable for reserved sections.
Education qualification
To take the SSC CGL Exam, you need to have a degree from a recognised university. Look at the educational requirements for different SSC CGL posts. Note down what qualifications you need to apply for these jobs. Make sure you check both the necessary and preferred qualifications.
Physical Eligibility Criterion
For some posts like Inspector, there are specific physical eligibility criterion which includes height and chest requirement, read the detailed eligibility requirements for the post before applying.

Visit the official SSC website ssc.gov.in
If you are a new user register yourself by providing the essential information.
Login to your account by using the user ID and password received on your email ID.
Fill out the SSC CGL application form carefully, to avoid rejection of your application don’t make any spelling mistakes.
Upload the required document, your signature, and your photograph.
Pay the application fees.
Submit the form and download the submitted form, for future references.
Application fees of SSC CGL 2024
SSC collected a nominal fee of ₹100 as application fees.
Exemption in fees:
Fees for Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of application fee.
SSC CGL 2024 fee payment
Applicants can pay the application fees online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, or RuPay Debit cards. Online fees can ve paid up until 25-07-2024 (23:00) . It is necessary to submit the payment fee before the fee payment window ends, if the fee is not received by SSC your application will be rejected.
